EHE Neutrino Search with the IceCube P.1 I'd like talk about the initical study on the capability of Icecube for the EHE neutrino search P.2 as an outline, at first I'd briefly mention about the expected ehe neutrino induce singlals in the IceCube and then I will describe the results of Monte Calro simulation analysis. finally refer to the current situation and outlook for this year's 9 string analysis P.3 First of all, I'd like to thank all the EHE working group members for their individual work and discussions. Especially for this study we had a huge supprot from MC production team, Paolo and Juan Carlos. Each work will be mentioned in Shigeru's ehe workshop summary talk on thursday. P.4 What's in my mind as the "standard" process to make an extremely high energy neutrino is so called GZK mechanism which creates nuetrino from decays of pion which is resulted from the interaction between EHE cosmic-ray protons amd microwave-background. The typical GZK neutrino energy is about 10 to the 10 GeV. Of course there are many other more exotic models including so called top-down models which induce EHE neutrinos from decays from massive particles, which describes the production of particle in even higher energy range. But in the following, we consider the detection of GZK neutrino with the IceCube. Now when we look for the events induced from these EHE neutrinos, there are several special features associated with these events. I'd like to point out two of features. P.5 The first point is that usual neutrino evens to be distinguished from atmospheric muon must be detected as an up-going events, however
