i3anis simulation flow overview ![]() |
I3anis is a MC simulation program to inject neutrino outside of the Earth and propagate it through
the Earth.
This is a module which works on the IceTray framework.
I3Anis is able to throw 3 types of neutrino, neu_mu, neu_e and neu_tau.
Once the neutrino was propagated through the Earth and reached to the detector depth, the charged
lepton and/or hadrons will be created according to the interaction probabilities.
Those probabilities are stored as the weight to be used to plot physical quantities later.
The propagation/interaction of charge lepton near the detector ice is taken care by MMC
propagator.
The filled weights can be read by the "weighting-module" and create a simple root tree.
