Salotti (ASI), on behalf of the AGILE Team, report: "SuperAGILE detected a relatively weak gamma ray burst on July 26th 2008, at 01:26:10 UT. The event was approximately 25 degrees off-axis, with a duration of about 12s in the 20-60 keV energy range, with a single peak structure. The event was detected during the ground processing, and unambigously localized in one of the two instrument coordinates, while in the other it showed a significance of about 4-sigma. Based on this localization, the burst position was reconstructed as (RA, Dec) (20.398 deg, 13.913 deg), which is: RA(J2000) = 01h 21m 35.50s Dec(J2000) = 13d 54' 46.6" with an uncertainty of 5' radius. The given uncertainty accounts for both the statistical and systematic errors. An analysis of the AGILE Gamma Ray Imager (GRID) data is in progress." This message may be cited.
