Circular_text TITLE: GCN CIRCULAR NUMBER: 25678 SUBJECT: IPN triangulation of GRB 190906A (short) DATE: 19/09/06 17:35:09 GMT FROM: Dmitry Svinkin at Ioffe Institute K. Hurley, on behalf of the IPN, I. G. Mitrofanov, D. Golovin, M. L. Litvak, and A. B. Sanin, on behalf of the HEND-Odyssey GRB team, D. Svinkin, S. Golenetskii, R. Aptekar, D. Frederiks, A. Kozlova, and T. Cline on behalf of the Konus-Wind team, A. von Kienlin, X. Zhang, A. Rau, V. Savchenko, E. Bozzo, and C. Ferrigno, on behalf of the INTEGRAL SPI-ACS GRB team, S. Barthelmy, J. Cummings, H. Krimm, and D. Palmer, on behalf of the Swift-BAT team, and W. Boynton, C. Fellows, K. Harshman, H. Enos, and R. Starr, on behalf of the GRS-Odyssey GRB team, report: The short-duration GRB 190906A has been detected by Konus-Wind, INTEGRAL (SPI-ACS), Mars-Odyssey (HEND) and Swift (BAT), at about 3889 s UT (01:04:49). The burst was outside the coded field of view of the BAT. We have triangulated it to a preliminary, 3 sigma error box whose coordinates are: --------------------------------------------- RA(2000), deg Dec(2000), deg --------------------------------------------- Center: 267.576 (17h 50m 18s) -11.916 (-11d 54' 59") Corners: 267.903 (17h 51m 37s) -9.219 ( -9d 13' 08") 267.589 (17h 50m 21s) -11.207 (-11d 12' 24") 267.230 (17h 48m 55s) -15.208 (-15d 12' 30") 267.563 (17h 50m 15s) -12.659 (-12d 39' 34") --------------------------------------------- The error box area is about 1463 sq. arcmin, and its maximum dimension is 6.0 deg (the minimum one is 6.6 arcmin). The Sun distance was about 103 deg. This box may be improved. A triangulation map is posted at http://www.ioffe.ru/LEA/GRBs/GRB190906_T03893/IPN The Konus-Wind time history and spectrum will be given in a forthcoming GCN Circular.
