Circular_text TITLE: GCN CIRCULAR NUMBER: 37028 SUBJECT: GRB 240804A: Fermi GBM Final Real-time Localization DATE: 24/08/04 19:16:43 GMT FROM: Fermi GBM Team at MSFC/Fermi-GBM The Fermi GBM team reports the detection of a likely LONG GRB At 19:06:02 UT on 4 Aug 2024, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 240804A (trigger 744491167.353348 / 240804796). The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data, is RA = 266.5, Dec = 59.8 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 17h 45m, 59d 47'), with a statistical uncertainty of 3.7 degrees. The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 21.0 degrees. The observations began at zenith distance = 28 deg. The sun altitude is -28.0 deg. The galactic latitude b = 31 deg., longitude l = 88 deg. This burst should be named GRB 240804B.
