TITLE: GCN CIRCULAR
NUMBER: 37161
SUBJECT: GRB 240812D: Fermi GBM Final Real-time Localization
DATE: 24/08/12 22:44:39 GMT
FROM: Fermi GBM Team at MSFC/Fermi-GBM
The Fermi GBM team reports the detection of a likely LONG GRB
At 22:34:03 UT on 12 Aug 2024, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 240812D (trigger 745194848.677414 / 240812940).
The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data, is RA = 46.7, Dec = 25.4 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 03h 06m, 25d 23'), with a statistical uncertainty of 2.0 degrees.
The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 166.0 degrees.
