Circular_text TITLE: GCN CIRCULAR NUMBER: 37181 SUBJECT: GRB 240814C: Fermi GBM Final Real-time Localization DATE: 24/08/14 19:00:48 GMT FROM: Fermi GBM Team at MSFC/Fermi-GBM The Fermi GBM team reports the detection of a likely LONG GRB At 18:50:17 UT on 14 Aug 2024, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 240814C (trigger 745354222.94296 / 240814785). The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data, is RA = 136.1, Dec = 47.2 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 09h 04m, 47d 12'), with a statistical uncertainty of 2.4 degrees. The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 110.0 degrees. The observations began at zenith distance = 84 deg. The sun altitude is -19.7 deg. The galactic latitude b = 42 deg., longitude l = 173 deg. GRB 240814C was also observed by Fermi/GBM(GCN 37181) The GRM light curve shows that this burst consists of double pulses with a duration of about 58 s The GRB 240814C light curves can be found here: http://www.bursthub.cn/admin/static/svgrb240814C.png The Space Variable Objects Monitor (SVOM) is a China-France joint mission led by the Chinese National Space Administration (CNSA, China), National Center for Space Studies (CNES, France) and the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS, China), which is dedicated to observing gamma-ray bursts and other transient phenomena in the energetic universe.
