Access to /hsm/exp/IceCube/2007/internal-system/pDAQ-2ndBld/ into CommVault started at a good clip, but the data rate dropped suspiciously.
The log file does not contain errors.
Update from 11-Oct:
There is no smoking gun from the file size--which is strongly mixed. If Simpana pre-orders by file size you'd get this effect.
Copying to disk is faster, but has the same effect.
rsync reports nonsense. The file size mix doesn't change substantially with time.
There's no obvious change in the file opening rate:
There is a change in the tape mounting during that time, though files may not be coming sequentially off the tape.
