On klausz a long job looking through /data/exp for large files is still crawling along, taking CPU. Tuesday morning I started a small copy job to see if iostat would give me useful information about read speeds, and as can be seen there was a small spike in ethernet use, which dropped off for reasons still to be explained having to to with lustre access. The memory use rose slightly at the same time.
Notice what happened when the process completed. Memory use decreased and the speed of reception (and transmission) rose.
