Step Recovery Diode

Publications list from AVTECH Corp., a company who makes nanosecond waveform generators.  The list includes a PhD thesis discussing the use of a step recovery diode for high-voltage pulse shaping applications.

S.M. Sze, "Physics of Semiconductor Devices", 2nd ed., pp 117-122, discusses the step recovery diode (2.7.6 Charge-Storage Diode) and the p-i-n Diode (2.7.7).

RSI Articles

Kilpelä and Kostamovaara [RSI 68(6), 2253 (1997)] describes a laser pulser for a time-of-flight laser radar employing an avalanche transistor.  Contains a good discussion on avalanche transistor operation.

Adler and Busby [RSI 59(4), 646 (1988)] describes a pulsed 500-MHz arbitrary waveform generator using an AVTECH pulse generator, delay lines and variable attenuators.

Howard and Daneshvar [RSI 60(10), 3343 (1989)] describes a nanosecond pulse generator for laser diodes employing a step recovery diode.
